Astrid had followed the rhythm of the music and had let Hiccup lead, seeing as he was doing much better at this 'dancing' thing than herself. Not that she'd ever admit that. Astrid peered out of the corners of her eyes again, making sure no other vikings were present. The embarrassment of being found dancing might have been to much to bare. Unless she thought of it this way: The embarrassment of not having someone to dance with at a party. And the thought cooled her nerves a bit more. "Yeah, Berk's not exactly known for it's ability to dance." Astrid laughed nervously. Maybe her nerves hadn't completely cooled down after all. Seeing a blush rush to Hiccup's face, Astrid looked down at the floor that had become quite interesting to the both of them. Blushing, tonight, was like yawning: the more the other person yawned, you yawned too, a chain reaction of yawning, but instead of the two yawning, they were blushing.
"I second that." she nodded, it was the blue creature's fault they were dancing. But was that a bad or a good thing? Inwardly, Astrid shook herself from the shoulders, turning her own mind it to a ditzy daze. "Ha, on their own? I could buy that. Mine... not that... not stubborn?" Astrid ended her sentence in a sort of question. She really shouldn't have spoken after shaking herself... inwardly. Astrid was grateful for the slow of pace, it gave her time to look for the blue creature for two reasons: 1) to shoot the thing a death glare and 2) to make sure it wasn't coming up to scare the crap out of her again.
Astrid, you know you've gone completely crazy right? Her thoughts chided the blonde... if she was thinking to herself like that, she couldn't blame herself for calling her crazy. At a party, dancing with Hiccup. HICCUP! Astrid's inward scolding ranted on, but it was oddly detached. Like it was a separate part of her, floating in a bubble overhead. Just another clear sign that Astrid had most assuredly lost her mind.
