Sinbad caught Flynn's stare at Rapunzel with a smirk. "Jealous?" he asked. "You just don't want Proteus to dance with her." he replied. Turning Giselle in a circle, he continued to look at Flynn. "News flash bub, i don't think he will make a move, he's betrothed or something like that."

Flynn raised an eyebrow in annoyance as Sinbad asked him if he was jealous. ''Are you serieus, the amazing Flynn Rider doesn't get jealous.'' He lied, however hearing that Proteus was betrothed made him feel better, he was never going to admit that though. ''Like your the one to talk.'' He grinned as he watched Sinbad dance with Giselle.

Sinbad smirked. "Face it man, the ladies just love me." he replied as Giselle pulled him closer for a dance. "Though dancing is not one of my strong points." he said slowly moving the girl to the beat of the music.
Proteus smiled at his friend before turning to Flynn. "If you want to dance with her first i can wait my turn."

''I'm sure they do.'' Flynn smirked, watching Sinbad dance was just hilarious. That guy could be like a dog sometimes, he only did things if he got a treat for it.
''Uh, not thanks.'' He said to Proteus, after all he didn't want everyone to think that he'd gone soft. Besides, he could get every bar girl in the whole kingdom, why would he even be thinking about Rapunzel, though there was something different about her, she wasn't like other girls.

Rapunzel, by now, was blushing furiously. Partially by anger that she was being talked about while standing there and partially from embarrassment at Sinbad's words. She looked, down, playing with her feet hoping that no one would notice the blush on her cheeks. Keeping her emerald eyes on her toes, she decided to look up and rolled her eyes.
"Oh come on." she reached for Flynn's hand and tugged towards Sinbad and Giselle, nodding thanks to Proteus, seeing as he seemed to be the only man with good manners towards a lady. It was odd, but funny at the same time. How could the brunette be a friend of Sinbad? They appeared to have nothing in common. It was odd, but it was nice that there was at least someone trying to be a role model on this ship.
The blonde couldn't help but giggle watching Sinbad dance with Giselle, the large man was slightly awkward as he danced to the slow beat with the red head. But he seemed to be trying, she hadn't realized Proteus was serious about dancing. Judging by Sinbad's enthusiasm, he didn't think he was either.

Father back, away from the rest of the group, a young and awkward looking Viking stood beside the ship's railing with his arms crossed over his chest and a sort of dull expression on his face. Hiccup didn't even want to know how he had gotten roped into coming aboard the ship. He didn't want to know if someone was going to force him to dance. No, dancing was probably one of the many things on the ever increasing list of things that he was horrible at and Hiccup didn't even want to try dancing to prove that he was good at it. He had an underlying feeling that he was just awful at it. So, there he stood watching the other people, and creatures in the case of Stitch, dancing to their heart's content. Hiccup, of course, was steadfast in his resolve to not join them.
"As if having to try and kill dragons wasn't bad enough. Now I have to feel awkward all over again watching people dance." Hiccup grumbled. A small part of him, the part that actually wanted to try and prove that he was good at this one thing, idly wondered if Astrid would show up. Probably not. The blonde Viking would never be caught dead anywhere that required her to show her feminine side. Hiccup was well aware of this. The day Astrid showed her softer, more feminine side was the day that he stopped being such a pitiful Viking and actually killed something that he meant to kill. That, of course, was about as likely to occur as Snotlout wearing a frilly pink tutu.
Stitch had stopped dancing, having accidentally bumped into Rapunzel's leg, and shook himself off. The blue alien was trying to rid himself of the embarrassment of colliding with the blonde when he happened to spot Hiccup from the corner of his eye. Intrigued, Stitch made a soft barking sound to try and get someone's attention so that he could point out Hiccup's presence. Why wasn't the redhead dancing? It was a party, wasn't it? Didn't that mean that everybody had to dance?

Sinbad rolled his eyes at the two men who had been making fun of him. Deciding to ignore it however, he didn't want to admit it, at all but he was glad to see his new crew members at least having a good time. They deserved it.

Flynn was slightly surprised that Rapunzel just suddenly grabbed his hand, however he didn't do anything to stop her. He quickly glanced at Sinbad and Giselle for a moment and after that turned back to Rapunzel, unsure what to do. Time for the ladies charmer to do his work ''Shall we?'' He smiled sincere.

Rapunzel's blush returned in a lighter shade, but she only smiled and nodded. "We shall..." she mumbled, a bad habit of hers. She glanced over to Sinbad and Giselle, she didn't really now how to do these types of 'slow' dances, though with the crew's music, it wasn't that slow seeing as there were more men aboard than women. Rapunzel followed Giselle's example, a selfless woman to offer to dance with the captain, Proteus was also selfless, though probably not as selfless seeing as he paid Sinbad to dance, maybe a joke about Sinbad being sexist and dancing? Rapunzel brushed away her thoughts, copying Giselle's form, and blushing slightly, looking down at her bare toes. A random thought crossed her mind, she hoped Flynn could dance a little, her toes didn't need to be stepped on anytime soon. ----------- Whatever happens tonight it's mom's fault. was the only repeating thought in the blonde's head. She'd been as gussied up as she'd allowed, which was basically no shoulder pads, and her hair up in a high ponytail instead of a braid. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she leaned back against the railing of the ship. How had her mother persuaded her to actually go? This could be useful time training in the dark, when most dragon raids occurred. But no. Stuck on a ship with strangers who danced to their hearts content to the odd music coming from what she thought must be the crew. Looking over the men, she could tell none of them were vikings, and she briefly wondered if she could get some fun in arm wrestling or scrimmaging. Seeing the faces of grown men being beaten by the girl, flashed in Astrid's head, a smile flickering to her lips. A procession of barking noises caught the blonde's attention, her light blue eyes sought out their maker. A blue thing, and Astrid abruptly fell backwards, rebounding of the ship's side from what could have been an embarrassing fall. What was that thing? Not a dragon surely, nor a canine, it's long clawed finger pointed in a direction at an angle from the side of her, slightly across. Wondering whether she should alert the others of this strange thing's presence, but curious got the better of her, and her eyes followed the invisible line of the beast's claw. She went rigid, fists clenched, eyes widening briefly. A scrawny reddish-brown haired teen stood awkwardly against the other rail. Astrid looked around, hoping or praying to the gods that he might not see her. To her, her appearance was feminine, way to feminine for her liking. She must look scrawny without her shoulder pads, nonthreatening without her hair in it's hard braid. Ber hair was wiping from side to side, stray strands getting in her face. That was why it was always in a braid, out of her way. The blonde desperately searched for an escape route, and an excuse for why she'd left early. Maybe, just maybe she could get past Hiccup. But the only way out was over the edge of the ship, or through the throng of dancing people in the middle of the boat. And there was no way she was going in there. Looking over the side of the ship, Astrid thought her chances of swimming to shore were fairly good. She had no metal pads to weigh her down, only her skirt which wasn't to heavy... But being seen was probably inevitable. Stupid, stupid, stupid the blonde chided herself for not having thought of the consequences of seeing a familiar face on the ship. Or without planning an escape route.

At last, Stitch's barking got to Hiccup. "Okay, what are you barking at me for?" Hiccup asked, having only just realized that Stitch had not only moved away from Rapunzel as she and Flynn started to dance but that he had also moved just a bit closer. What was that thing, anyway? Not a dragon, obviously. It wasn't scaly in the slightest and looked like something that had been chewed up and spit out by a Monstrous Nightmare.
Instead of responding, Stitch stopped barking and merely gestured in Astrid's general direction. The blue alien had mischief flickering in his dark eyes and he definitely wanted to play the role of some kind of match maker. Either that, or he just wanted to get the redhead to move away from the railing so he could join in the fun. "Dance!" Stitch proclaimed like an overly excited kid. He wanted to see if he could get the two together.
"Dance? Me? Right... I'm supposed to dance. We might as well ask Snotlout to..." Hiccup found himself trailing off when he thought he saw a bit of blonde from the corner of his eye. Hiccup slightly moved his head to the side and found himself staring with a partially opened mouth and wide eyes as he took in what he saw seeing. In fact, Hiccup couldn't believe what he was seeing. That couldn't be Astrid. The world would have to have imploded before she would even dare to make herself girlier in appearance. Yet, there she was. She lacked her armor and her usual braid was just an average ponytail, but Hiccup could still recognize her. The question was whether or not she recognized him.
Hiccup had to turn his head away, hoping that he hadn't been noticed, as he awkwardly leaned back against the railing. Fortunately his luck held out and he didn't go careening over the side of the ship. That would have only succeeded in making him look like more of a fool. Maybe she didn't notice me. Maybe I can sneak off when no one's looking. Hiccup thought hopefully.

Astrid turned her head slowly, hearing the single word, 'dance.' It didn't sound like a human voice uttered it. And sure enough, she saw the little blue creature close it's mouth as it formed the ss sound of dance. That couldn't be possible. His claw was pointing at her and the creature, which she assumed was male, was talking to Hiccup. Astrid skittered back against the railing, unconsciously moving in Hiccup's direction. Instincts told her to move closer to the familiar face, which strangely was the only comfort on the ship. Edging closer to Hiccup, eyes locked on the blue creature, her breath sucked in. It was so strange. To get her mind off of it, and realizing she'd moved close enough to Hiccup to actually talk in a casual tone, she cleared her throat.
"Ask Snotlout what?" she managed, eyes never leaving the blue alien. She saw the mischief twinkling in his smart black eyes, nothing like those of a the dragon's she fought. This thing had intelligence on his side, and appeared to have something in mind. Truthfully, this sort of scared her, if the little thing decided to dash up to her, there was no doubt she'd skitter back into the red head.
Astrid allowed a glance at Hiccup, he looked like ordinary, average, scrawny Hiccup. She felt embarrassed having dressed up, leaning her head down slightly so that her hair covered part of her face, mostly her cheek, a rosy blush had started forming. The girl was most definitely out of her comfort zone.
(ooc: Feel free to have Stitch scare the bajeebus out of Astrid x3)

And instantly, just when Hiccup thought things couldn't get any more awkward, they did. He felt his cheeks get red and hot with embarrassment at his unfinished statement, and that mixed with the fact that Astrid had actually gotten closer to him. "We uh... m-might as well ask him to... to uh..." awkwardness had stolen Hiccup's words once again. He hated it when that happened, as it usually led to something stupid coming out of his mouth. "To... wear some kind of frilly pink thing." Hiccup finally decided to say. He had originally intended to say something far worse, something along the lines of having him do something much more embarrassing, but whatever that thought had been it had left him long ago.
Blush faded at last as he looked up again, emerald meeting ice in just a matter of seconds. Why did she have to look like she fit in so easily? Why did he have to stand out so awkwardly? "You... you look..." different? was what he wanted to say, but that seemed a bit to blunt and would probably have resulted in a question regarding whether or not that was a good thing. "...You look nice, Astrid. Better than I do, I imagine." he finally ventured.
Stitch grinned gleefully. Things seemed to be going according to plan. ...Though, really, he didn't have much of a plan. The blue alien was just going with the flow and trying to get a pair of people to dance because they looked so horribly out of place without partners. That, and he had nothing better to do since Rapunzel had found herself a partner. Stitch dropped to all fours again and began to approach the pair of Vikings, still grinning and fully intending to climb up onto the railing so that he might get closer to them. Risky on his part, given his fear of water, but if it worked then perhaps a new couple would step out onto the dance floor. Stitch moved up the railing with relative ease and after hooking his claws around it so that he wouldn't fall off he leaned just a bit closer. Mischief was still present in his dark eyes, along with a flicker of curiosity. What were they doing?

Astrid cocked up one eyebrow at Hiccup's words. A frilly pink thing? It made no sense, but maybe Hiccup had meant girl clothing? Something Astrid herself probably didn't own. Astrid had to look away though, Hiccup had started blushing, and she had remembered her own rosy pink blush that was still spreading on her cheeks. But Hiccup's words hadn't really helped. The blush spread across her cheeks faster as blood rushed in. She reminded herself to curse the gods in a minute for giving her the odd feminine, blush as well as giving her the only revealer to her embarrassment.
Originally Astrid would have though Hiccup would say she looked, odd, weird, feminine. She shivered at the thought of the realization. "Thanks Hiccup.... and you don't look bad." A compliment deserved a compliment right? Astrid turned her head, back to where the blue creature would be. The only thing was, he wasn't there. Astrid felt slightly panicked, and the hair on the back of her neck stood up. Whipping her head to her side.
Mischievous eyes met her own bewildered blue ones. A startled, muffled shriek left her mouth and she jumped back, right into the other scrawny teen. Embarrassment. Her cheeks burned now, and she was fairly certain the faint pink blush on her cheeks must be red. Maybe it was the hair, or the lack of shoulder pads, but she wished she hadn't hopped back. She must have looked like such a girl. Oh yeah, face the dragon who wants to kill you, but when it comes to a furry blue thing, you act like a 4 year old. she scolded herself. Eyes sending a startled, not so threatening glare at the blue creature.

Stitch couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter at Astrid's reaction. He certainly hadn't expected that sort of reaction, but it had been funny regardless of that fact. He was glad he still had his claws gripping the railing, otherwise he would have fallen off and into the water. Obviously that wouldn't have ended well. What made it funnier was at about the same time that Astrid had yelped Hiccup let out a yelp of his own. Stitch could easily see the blush on both teen's faces. Whether or not it had been intentional, Stitch had at least freaked out one of them. That had led to her moving closer to Hiccup. Part of his task as a match maker was at least partly underway.
Stitch moved again so that he was behind the two, still grinning playfully, and motioned for Hiccup to put his arm around Astrid. Of course, the redhead was too flustered and too embarrassed to do such a thing. Stitch just sighed a Stitch-ish sort of sigh and shook his head a little. "Boochi boos?" Stitch questioned.
Hiccup met the question with a perplexed look. What was the blue creature even saying? And why could he speak at all? He had never come across anything like that before that could speak. "I uh... don't think he's going to hurt us, Astrid." Hiccup said, though it did sound like a rather stupid thing to say when she had moved so close after being freaked out and when he too was just a bit freaked out by the big eared, black eyed, blue furred creature. "Though I have absolutely no clue what he's saying." Hiccup added after a moment. At least, Hiccup thought it was male.

Astrid could have laughed hearing Hiccup's yelp, but the matter at hand had kept her throat frozen. The blue creature had nearly given her a heart attack... well that was exaggerating. Still a little slow at moving, she turned around, still in Hiccup's side, missing Stitch's gesture for Hiccup to put his arm around her. What was the blue midget thing up to?
"Boochi boos? Wha?" she asked puzzled, what language was that? Astrid's expression must have been a mirrored image of Hiccup's, realizing to that when he'd spoken earlier, he'd spoken. At Hiccup's words, Astrid twisted her head to Hiccup, only realizing their close proximity. She shied a little away, flustered and more embarrassed than ever before.
"Well... maybe not, but he's planning something. You can see it in his eyes." Astrid said stubbornly, her right arm rubbing her left in embarrassment. She felt hot all over from the embarrassment, and she prayed to the gods that she wouldn't start sweating. That would be all to embarrassing. She was still near Hiccup, as Hiccup was still near the blue thing, not wanting to seem any girlier, she didn't shy away any farther. She was honestly curious but apprehensive to see what the little thing was planning in it's intelligent, mischievous eyes.
The blonde brushed her pony tail over her shoulder, stroking the hair unconsciously, and brushing her bangs back. Even without the braid, they still fell forward again. Her blue eyes were looking between her feet, the blue creature, and Hiccup. Mostly wondering what the heck the blue thing wanted.
