(ooc March 28th, open to pretty much those on Sinbad's ship but mainly for Wilbur and Shanti)
Wilbur turned from his spot to face the ship that had docked. Of all the places to dock why did it have to be a jungle? He didn't understand Sinbad's intention but he enjoyed traveling with the new bunch of misfits.
The others were busy for the while getting the ship docked and ready. So since no one was looking, the boy decided to go explore on his own. So far, the jungle was just as boring as he thought. Nothing exciting was happening.
"The only thing good about this place is climbing trees." Wilbur sighed to himself, taking a look at the trees around him. Though he didn't think about it, it seemed to him that the view would be better up there.
Slowly the boy began to climb up the trees

"Father's hunting in the forest, mother's cooking in the home, I must go to fetch the water 'till the day that I am grown."
The indian maid sang loudly, beieving to be the only person around. If she was aware of the other's presence she surely would have sung quieter, or not at all. Once she reached the shore of the river she took the large jug off her head and dipped it in until it was full. She then took it out and set it near her. She looked at her reflection in the clear river water before noticing a black-ish blur in the reflection of one of the trees.
Her head snapped up, her brown eyes alert looking for something in the trees. Jumping to conclusions and assuming it was some sort of animal she began to panick slightly.
"I-Is someone there?" She asked.

Wilbur paused as he listened to the singing. 'Wow,' he thought as he leaned down upside down from the tree to try to find the source of the singing. There was a girl, around his age. She was pretty. Though her voice was scared when the branch beneath him snapped. Trying to get a better look, he wanted to say something.
Anything that wasn't stupid, of course that might be impossible. Moving a bit, the boy lost his footing only to end up in the river.
Shaking his wet hair as he stood up. "Uh, hey..." he said to the girl. "Sorry about that...I uh...wanted to see the view."

The girl breathed a sigh of relief as she realized it wasn't an animal, but a human. Admittedly, one she'd never seen before. What on earth was he doing wandering about the jungle?! He obviously didn't know how dangerous it could be. Now that she got a better look, he appeared to be a foreigner. He didn't look anything like the rest of her villaige. He was much paler than they were, and definitely dressed differently. Despite how different he looked from the rest, she still had to admit he was cute. Before she could say something he promptly fell into the water, making her have to stifle a giggle.
At his greeting the girl waved shyly. "It's alright." She said. "Are you okay, you took quite a fall there." She said with a slight laugh.

Wilbur smiled, "Yeah, fine, just now i won't have to take a shower." he said. His brown eyes finally got a good look at the girl who was singing. Wow, she was super cute. 'Pretty too.' he thought to himself. He was pretty sure that his clothes were a bit strange to her but her's were just as strange. Though she was still super cute.
"I'm Wilbur.." he replied nervously

"Im Shanti, it's nice to meet you." She said with her signature sweet smile. "Do you want something to dry off with?" She asked with a giggle. He was right an assuming she thought his clothes were strange. It seemed everything about him was different. It was pretty intriguing for the girl who loved learning new things. Most clothes worn here were simple, and made with a different fabric. "So it's pretty obvious you're not from around here." She said obviously. "So where's you come from?" She asked curiously. Never in a million years would she assume he was from the furture.

There it was that same question. He couldn't lie again, not that it wasn't hard to lie to Sinbad and Flynn but they were guys, they were constant liars. "Uh no thanks. i'm good." he said shaking his head letting the water spray everywhere.
Thinking of how to respond to that question he sighed. "I doubt you would believe me, if you did you would probably think i was lying."

Shanti held up her hands to try and block some of the water he shook off. His next comment had her raising an eyebrow. "I'm sure whatever it is can't be that out there." She said with a slight roll of her eyes. "I mean I know I've never been outside of the villaige, but whatever it is I'm sure I could handle." She insisted. Though in reality it was highly doubtful the girl would believe him.
"So..." She urged. "Where are you from?"

Wilbur was a bit surprised that she could actually convince him to tell her where he was from. Normally it was not that easy. "Alright." he said with a hesitant pause. "I'm from the year 2039, in a place called TodayLand, I am the son of the famous inventor Corneilus Robinson, and i ended up here because i was stupid enough to leave the garage door open and a guy with a Bowler Hat guy stole my dad's time-machine."
he replied. "I grabbed the last one and something went wrong and i ended up here in the distant past and now I am apart of a crew with a sexist pirate, a pretty boy thief, an alien, a happy-go lucky princess and a girl with at least 70 feet of golden hair that whacks people with frying pans."
He paused with a nervous laugh, waiting for her reaction.

Shanti blinked in confusion at his reaction. She was dabating whether she should A) Believe him. B) Run home and never look back. Or C) Try and seek the boy some help. Shanti was to polite to just run away, and she didn't know anybody who could help the delerious. And believing him was pretty out of the question. The logical girl didn't believe in time travel or anything like it. It was absurd! though it would explain his wild fashion sense. So she had no choice but to assume he was joking. She gave a nervous laugh that mirrored his, she was praying he wasn't as crazy as he came off.
"Okay really, where are you from?" She asked with a chuckle.

Wilbur blinked back his anger at the fact that she didn't believe him. It seemed obvious though, even when explaining the story, it seemed really ridiculous when he told it. What surprised him most was the fact that she had pretty much took his story in strife. No one else would have done that. Though with a smile he looked at his fingers.
"Alrighty, since you don't believe that story maybe you'll believe i'm from New York?" he asked

"New York?" She aske din confusion. She'd never heard of the place. "What's New York?" She asked, very confused. Then again, the girl had never so much as been outside of India, so it was no surprise she had no idea what the great city was. Not to mention they were from two completely different times. He was fromt he future in a city, not that she believed it yet, she was from a small villiage in India way into the past, where he claimed to be stuck.

Wilbur frowned, he had to answer this question yet again. Only this time, he had actually told her the truth, true, she didn't believe that but well. it was starting to get annoying. "It's a city across the ocean, I am no good at geography or whatever its called so i can't exactly tell you where it is." he replied sheepishly. "I can tell you its got huge buildings that can almost reach the sky and there are tons of people."
He wondered if New York was still the same in the past as it was in the future. Probably not. but it never hurt to think about it

“Wow…” She said in amazement. She looked to the sky to see if she could imagine a building that tall. It didn’t work. She tried to replace the sky-high trees that surrounded her into buildings. She couldn’t even picture that! What would people need such huge buildings for? So many questions. However, she did not voice them, she didn’t want to appear as some sort of weirdo… as if she didn’t already. “We don’t have any of that stuff here…” She said, pondering just why that was.

Wilbur shrugged his shoulders. He was sure he knew the answer to that but answering it would only gain more questions. It was not something he was used to getting (unless his parents were asking him.) He looked around the small area they were staying, it might not have been New York or his real home, but it was peaceful. "Well, even if you don't have them, you are lucky, the cities are pretty noisy. Unlike here."
