(ooc: March 21. Open to anyone who lives in New York.)
To the average observer, it appeared to be an average day in New York. That was the case for many humans and animals as they went to and fro on their way to wherever it was they needed to go. Many feet shuffled along the ground, each generating a different sort of rhythm as they moved along, and many paws scrambled across the sidewalks and street. Yes, it appeared to be just another day in New York.
Enter the Dodger. The mutt was content, tail wagging and head held high as he strutted along the sidewalks and meandered through the crowds of people. To many he appeared to be an average dog of New York. That was not the case, though. Dodger was, in his humble opinion, the coolest dog to ever grace the streets of New York. He moved to his own beat, knew the streets like the back of his paw, and simply knew how to handle himself in the otherwise chaotic world of New York. Dodger knew how to keep himself cool and collected in many situations, and he knew how to handle things. As far as he was concerned, Dodger had New York safely under his paw pads. He could do whatever as he pleased.
Dodger casually made his way through one last crowd and rounded a corner, going down a street and coming to a stop near a wall. He sat down, letting his tail curl around his feet, and leaned to the side. Dodger had told the gang to separate for the day, hoping they could retrieve more items to sell that way, and he had decided to go his own way so that he could best think of what he could do. "Now let's see... what can you do today, Dodge?" Dodger asked himself as he raised a paw to his chin and thought. He hoped he could come up with some idea of what to do. The sooner he did, the more money they could gain to help pay off the debt Fagin found himself in.
Dodger lowered his paw after a moment and tilted his head to the side. "Who's there?" Dodger asked casually. He thought he had heard someone coming his way. He didn't think whoever it was was threatening in the least, but it was best to be cautious.
