None for this site yet, but i am probably going to do some based on the strange and awesome dreams i have been having. But for now, there a few that i am going to be posting.
As for now, enjoy my favorite one so far to write.
When in Doubt-Steal things
The gallows would always be the gateway for death, especially for thieves and pirates. None of their kind would go without fearing this place. A instant death to those who got caught. Some would escape in just the nick of time.
All except for one. The fairly tan skin man stood tall as he approached the dreaded rope that hung down. His dark brown eyes never leaving a confident smirk even in coming to the face of death.
That was just the kind of man he was. He was tall, dark and ready for any challenge. No thief had cheated death more times than he had.
“Bradley Fitzhurbert, you have been charged with the crime of thievery of the royal jewels.” The headman in charge said his voice bellowing across the crowd that had been drawn. “Your charge is death.”
The man smirked as the rope was placed around his neck. Muscular arms were already filled with tattoos and bruises. Before anyone could say anything else. A figure approached the stand.
Dressed in a black robe, Bradley knew immediately it was a woman. The blue flats gave that away. Approaching him, she pushed the guards away.
“You are an idiot Bradley.” She said her voice above a whisper.
“Can’t change that babe.” He said with a smirk.
A roll of her brown eyes. “Leave it to a man to flirt with a woman before death.” She sighed. “This is why I hate your kind?”
“You hate my kind?” Bradley asked. “Or you just can’t get enough.”
The woman grumbled something, which was probably a curse. “I hope death can wait awhile before taking you.”
“Oh and why is that?” Bradley asked.
“Stealing isn’t the same without you.” She said before lifting back her hood. Her long brown hair flowed over her shoulders. A dark and light blue almost princess outfit covered her body.
“It’s her!” someone screamed from the crowd. “The Princess of the Seven Seas.”
The woman smirked as she pulled out a dagger and cut the rope that encircled the man’s neck.
“Criminal!” one of the high officials screamed. “Catch and kill them both.”
“You know there could have been an easier way to do this.” The man beside her said.
“Yes, but easy and fun are two entirely different things.” The girl smirked, “Just try not to get killed.” She threw him two blades before running off into crowd.
“I make no promises!” Bradley said before jumping off the platform and ran through the crowd in a new direction.
The man still had cheated death again, not that he minded. She had saved him, That was all that mattered. She might not have liked him or men in general but Loreley was one that could make things like a goose chase interesting.
Jumping onto a horse he kicked it causing it to move through the village as fast as it could. Escaping guards and people alike. Standing up on the horse’s flank, Bradley made his way on the roof before watching the horse run through the crowds.
“Alright, show time.” He said with a crack of the knuckles. Luckily the horse had lead him to the roof where he needed to be. Slowly he made his way through the windows, the guards had been so preoccupied with his execution that they were all gone.
Leaving the prize he wanted. A silver tiara. It was beautiful. Bradley made his way over and lifted the glass from the case to grab it.
“Not so fast Bradley.” Turning he was faced with the woman who saved his life. Loreley. “That is mine.”
“Oh really?” he asked. “I’m holding it. Therefore its mine for the taking.”
“Whatever happened to ladies first?” Loreley asked.
“If there were a lady here, then I would give it to her.”
“Oh! You men! You are all selfish pigs!” Lorelei said stomping her foot.
“And you women are spoiled brats.” Bradley said placing the tiara in the satchel around his neck.
“I hate you.” Loreley replied.
“Shocking.” Bradley said with a smirk. “I believe you’ve told me that every time we’ve come into contact.”
“I like being consistent.”
Bradley rolled his eyes as he made his way past her, only to have her holding two sharp blades to his neck. “Drop it now Fitzhurbert.”
“Let me think about that one…uh no.” Bradley said. “I don’t do what people tell me to Andria.”
“That is not my name!” Lorelei growled, “Drop it, before I kill you.”
“You won’t kill me.” Bradley said.
“Wanna bet?!” the blade pushed against his neck.
Before the woman could make a move, he kissed her lips before running away into the crowds again. Only to have her on his tail.
“That tiara is mine!” she snarled as she tackled him to the ground.
“No, its not.” Bradley said. “It’s mine, I stole it.”
“I saved your life!”
“So?”
“You are both under arrest.” The voices caused the two to see guards surrounding them. “Hand over the tiara.”
“Sorry boys.” Bradley said standing up. “I don’t have it.”
“Liar.” The guard said. “It’s in your satchel.”
“Now that sounds like a pretty serious accusation.” Bradley said before jumping off the edge of the pier.
“Idiot.” Lorelei muttered before following him.
“You do realize you could have gotten us all killed?” Lorelei asked Bradley as they sailed across the sea.
“Yes, but that’s just the kind of guy I am.” Bradley said with a smirk.
“Well because of that, we lost the tiara.” She replied.
“I’m sure there is something better out there.” Bradley said. “There always is.”
Lorelei smirked before kissing him. “You men are such idiots.”
Bradley smirked before leaving her to stare out at the sea with the rest of her crew. All women but he didn’t care. That was just the kind of woman she was, her first mate smiled at him. Black hair tied in a braid with a red bow and honey brown eyes watched him.
“You did good Bradley.” She said.
With a nod, he went down to the cabins to look at the maps.
“Well, well well, who would have seen the day that Bradley Fitzhurbert would give up a treasure for a woman.”
With a sigh he turned around to see Eris standing in front of him. He had run-ins with the goddess before but now it was starting to get annoying.
“Eris, good to see you again.” He replied.
“We aren’t here to chit-chat Bradley.” Eris said. “I believe you owe me something for making sure that you and your woman survived that fall from the pier.”
Bradley sighed and nodded. “Very well, what do you want?”
“Nothing much, just a little something for your son.” Eris replied. “When they are born, I want Sinbad to inherit this ship.”
“Why?” Bradley asked.
“I have my reasons.” Eris said. “So do we have a deal?”
“Fine.” He replied as Eris made the simple X across her chest ensuring the deal before disappearing.
“What was all that about?” Lorelei asked. “You were talking to yourself.”
“Oh…no reason.” Bradley said. “Just talking to Eris.”
“What did she want?” Lorelei said.
“Nothing important.” Bradley said.
He was not sure why Eris wanted Sinbad to inherit this ship or how she even knew that they were going to name their sons Sinbad and Eugene. He didn’t care though.
“You are the weirdest man I’ve ever met.”
“I know.” He said before pulling her into a kiss. “But you are going to have to deal with that.”
